Beautiful view on Sognefjord
From the campsite you have a beautiful view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. Often still provided with snow on the tops. When you sit down in the beautiful new water pavilion, you can see Sogndal over the water in the distance.. What a wonderful place this is!
At Kjornes Camping
The camping pitches and hytter at Kjornes Camping are spread over the campsite. The hytter lies mainly directly on the water. The pitches (paved and on grass) directly on the water and further situated on different terraces. Beautiful view assured! Slept well ? Time to get fresh bread at the reception. Swimming, playground, walking and cycling
The water will not be warm, but from the campsite you can take a dip in the fjord. Freshen up nicely. Your children will have a great time in the playground at the campsite. Do you prefer to walk or cycle? The owners are very sporty themselves and are happy to tell you more about the possibilities in the area. Electric bicycles can be rented at Kjornes Camping.
Located at the Sognefjord
Kjornes Camping is about 3km. south of the town of Sogndal where you will find various shops. This is where the "55" starts, the National Route which runs along the Sognefjord towards the Sognefjellet. Via the Sognefjellet - the highest car-passable route in Northern Europe) you drive through a snowy and very impressive landscape to Lom where you can drive to Geiranger and the Trollstigen or via the "51" along Jotunheimen National Park towards Fagernes. An unforgettable ride!
