From this campsite, which is centrally located in the center of Loen, you have a great view of the beautiful surroundings. You can also see the Loen Skylift and the Via Ferrata from the campsite.
Lo-Vik Camping in the center of Loen in the Vestland (Sogn og Fjordane) region
Lo-Vik Camping is located in the center of Loen, beautifully situated by the fjord. Very popular because of its location near the Loen Skylift and the Via Ferrata. But also because the campsite is situated in front of two of Norway's most beautiful valleys: Lodalen and Oldedalen. In addition to the (grass) campingplaces on the campsite, Lo-Vik Camping has beautiful traditional "grass and bush-covered" cabins.
At Lo-Vik Camping
If you arrive at Lo-Vik Camping with your tent, caravan or motorhome, you can choose a nice spot yourself. And that will probably work out well. Because at Lo-Vik Camping in Loen you still have the space. And wherever you are, the view is equally beautiful everywhere. The sanitary facilities at the campsite are simple but clean. There is a nice playground and there is WIFI available.
Glacier and hiking tours
Lo-Vik Camping is located in a spectacular mountain setting where you can make beautiful walks. Mountain Skala (with a height of 1.848 meters) is very popular with more experienced hikers. But in the immediate vicinity of Loen and nearby Olden you can make a lot of beautiful walks. Also for example to the Bodal and Kjendall glacier in Lodalen (the valley of Loen) and the Briksdal glacier in Oldedalen (the valley of Olden) a little further.
Skylift Loen and Via Ferrata within walking distance of the campsite
From the campsite, one of the youngest attractions in Norway is well visible: Loen Skylift and the spectacular Via Ferrata (with 120 meters the longest in Europe) have been extremely popular since it opened a few years ago. The Loen Skylift takes you to the top of Mount Hoven in a few minutes, at an altitude of 1.011 meters. If you are an active holiday maker, then drop by Loen Active near Lo-Vik Camping.
Tour over Geiranger and Stryn Summer Ski Area.
If you want to make a nice car ride, take the “15” at Stryn to Grotli / Lom. And then the exit (“258”) to the Stryn Summer Ski area. This is for the most part unpaved, but easy to do with a car and camper. At the end of this road you come back on the "15" and turn left and then right to Geiranger. Via a spectacular route you reach the Geirangerfjord where you can take the ferry to Hellesylt (and return via Stryn) or continue your journey via the Trollstigen to Andalsnes.
