Voss Camping in Voss in the Vestland region (Hordaland)
Voss Camping is a well-maintained campsite within walking distance of the center of Voss where you will find various shops and restaurants. Due to its location on the Vangsvatnet (lake), there are various water sports options. Voss Camping is a popular city campsite and especially in July it is advisable to arrive at the campsite early in the afternoon. If possible, visit the campsite in early or late season. In the immediate vicinity – especially for the active camper – there is a lot to do. A day trip to the beautiful city of Bergen is also easy to do from Voss Camping.
At Voss Camping
Since 2019, Voss Camping has a beautiful new sanitary building. There are various sports and games facilities including a beach volleyball court, you can use WIFI for free (from 1 september – 30 june), there is a nice covered grill area and next to the campsite is a beautiful swimming pool with slides. Due to its location on the Vangsvatnet (lake), there are various water sports options and there is a pebble beach. There are a number of cabins for rent at Voss Camping. The camping pitches for tents are situated on grass, for campers and caravans there are gravel pitches available.
Activities in the vicinity of Voss Camping
Voss Camping is located directly on the Vangsvatnet (lake) where you can fish, swim, surf, sail, canoe and kayak. In the immediate vicinity of the campsite you can also go rafting or indoor skydiving at VossVind. Very spectacular! Voss Camping is located in a city park and there are various sports and games facilities in the immediate vicinity. If you prefer to go out on your own, inquire at the reception about the walking and cycling possibilities. Since Voss Camping is open all year round, you can also use the campsite as a base for winter sports. The winter sports area of Voss can be reached with a gondola which is only 600 meters from the campsite.
Central location near the E16
Voss Camping is located near the center of Voss and near the E16 which runs from Fagernes (230km.) to Bergen (103km.). Tip: if you are on the road with a tent or caravan, choose an overnight stay at Voss Camping and make a nice day trip to Bergen. The Naeroyfjord, the Flamsbana of Flam and a day trip to Familypark Mikkelparken in Kinsarvik (50km.) via the spectacular Hardangerbrua over the Hardangerfjord are also well worth a visit.
