Skogtun Camping in Fjell near Bergen in the Vestland (Hordaland) region
Skogtun Camping is a small cozy campsite located near the village Fjell on the island Sotra off the west coast of Bergen. The island is accessible via a bridge. The ideal place to visit the beautiful city of Bergen (bus stop near the campsite) and still be able to spend the night in a quiet place. The campsite has a small number of places for campers and caravans, but for camper buses and tents this is perhaps one of the most beautiful campsites in Norway. What an amazing place!
At Skogtun Camping
The tent pitches and the pitches for camper buses are on different terraces (paved or grassed) on the campsite. Really very beautiful! No camping equipment with you? A number of hytter and apartments can be rented at the campsite. And since 2021 there are a number of glamping accommodations for rent. In a wonderfully quiet place and with a great view. The sanitary facilities on the campsite have been renewed, there is free WIFI, a mini golf course, a Frisbee Golf course, a grill area and a playground with a trampoline. The surrounding area is perfect for taking walks and cycling trips. And there are also nice fishing spots. The owner is happy to help you with more information.
Visit the beautiful city of Bergen
Skogtun Camping is also a great place to visit the beautiful city of Bergen. The center can be reached in less than half an hour by car. You can also take the bus, the bus stop is near the campsite. The beautiful Bryggen, the cozy fish market and the Floibanen (in good weather) are definitely worth a visit. Tip: book a one-way trip with the Floibanen to the top and walk back through the park to the center of Bergen. Really fun!
Swimming, SUP and canoeing
The friendly owners of Skogtun Camping do everything to make their guests feel as good as possible. Partly for this reason, a special place was created a few years ago where you can sunbathe, swim and simply get on the water. For example to go canoeing or how about Stand Up Paddling at the setting sun (see photo).
