Furustrand Camping is in a beautiful location directly on the Oslofjord. The campsite has a private beach, but a little further away there is a larger beach (Ringshaugstranda). From the campsite you can walk straight into the town of Tolvsrod. Tonsberg – the oldest city in Norway with a rich history – is also easily accessible by bus or bicycle. Furustrand Camping has many seasonal pitches, but the most beautiful camping pitches directly on the water are available for "drop-in" guests. The accommodations at Furustrand Camping Tonsberg are also very beautifully situated.

At Furustrand Camping Tonsberg you will find a wide range of holidayhouses. Mobile homes, cabins, wooden holidayhouses in the fortress of Sigurd Ring (most with a sea view), modern seahouses with a view of the beach and sea, beautiful apartments (some in a tower) and you can even rent a holidayhouse located in a lighthouse. The campsite has a nice restaurant (also takeaway) with a cozy outdoor terrace, good sanitary facilities, a nice playground, a grill area and a beautiful sandy beach.

Coastal path Karlsvika-Vallo, visit Tonsberg

A 5km. long walking path runs along Furustrand Camping Tonsberg. The walk starts in the center of Tonsberg and ends at the idyllic Asgardstrand. The view is great. You walk directly along the Oslofjord and have a view of beautiful beaches and various islands along the way. And while you are in Tonsberg…. Then visit the beautiful castle tower which is located on the Slottsfjell (mountain). Here you have a beautiful view of this oldest city in Norway. Then take a stroll along the shops in the town and of course take a seat on a terrace on the pleasant boulevard of Tonsberg.

Ferry to and from Larvik and Sandefjord

The port of Larvik is about 45km. away from Furustrand Camping Tonsberg. In Larvik you can take the Color Line ferry to and from Hirtshals (Denmark). The port of Sandefjord - where you can cross the Oslofjord to Stromstad (Sweden) with the ferry of the Color Line and the Fjord Line - is 32km. away.

Good location near E18 (Oslo-Kristiansand)

Furustrand Camping Tonsberg is located approximately 10km. driving from the E18 which runs from Oslo (108km.) towards Kristiansand (230km.). The campsite is therefore a good place to spend the night if you are on your way to or from Oslo.
