Stretere Camping in Stavern in the Vestfold region
Stretere Camping Stavern is a well maintained campsite near the nice center of Stavern (3.5 km). The larger town Larvik (11km.) is also not far from the campsite. Stretere Camping Stavern is located directly on a 350 meter wide sandy beach that slopes gently into the sea. So very child-friendly. The campsite is beautifully situated in a bay and the view from the beach is wonderful. The campsite has well-maintained sanitary facilities, a small playground and free WIFI (not full coverage). In summer, various activities are organized at the campsite.
At Stretere Camping Stavern
Stretere Camping Stavern is located directly along the beautiful Stretere beach. From this beautiful sandy beach you have a beautiful view of the bay in which the campsite is located. Because of its location right on the fjord, you can enjoy SUPing, canoeing or floating on the water in a dinghy. The sea here is shallow and therefore very suitable for children. The camping pitches at Stretere Camping Stavern are largely situated on grass. There is a special section for tents. In addition to the camping pitches, there are 3 mobile homes for rent, which are suitable for a maximum of 6 people.
Hiking and cycling along the beautiful coast of Brunlane
The beautiful Brunlane coast between Stavern and Helgeroa is very popular with hikers and cycling enthusiasts. For hikers there is a 35km. long hiking route, the Coast Path. This route runs almost continuously along the sea from Helgeroa to Stavern. Of course it is also possible to walk this beautiful route in stages.
Ferry to and from Larvik and Sandefjord
Stretere Camping Stavern is not far from Sandefjord (30km.) where you can take the ferry to Strömstad in Sweden with the Color Line. In Larvik (11km.) you can take the ferry (Color Line) to Hirtshals in Denmark. Stretere Camping Stavern is therefore ideally located if you take the ferry from or to the ports of Sandefjord or Larvik.
Good location if you are traveling between Oslo and Kristiansand
If you are on your way between Oslo (145km.) and Kristiansand (190km.), then spending the night at Stretere Camping Stavern is a good option. The campsite is only 12km. away from the E18 which runs from Oslo to Kristiansand.
