Nice campsite only 10km. from Kristiansand and near the largest zoo in Norway, right on the beach. Great sanitary. Many play facilities for kids.

If you arrive in Kristiansand by ferry, this is one of the closest campsites to the harbor. Ideal for a 1st stay in Norway. But the campsite has excellent sanitary facilities and many play facilities for children. So why not stay longer?! And … Hamre Familiecamping is close to Norway's largest zoo and located on a large sandy beach directly on the fjord.
At Hamre Familiecamping
The camping pitches are on a flat site directly on the fjord. You can rent different kind of cabins and for the children there is a large playground and a mega chess game. Go-karts can be rented. Free WIFI is available at the campsite. Close to the campsite you will find a gas station, a supermarket and a place to eat. The bus stop is directly in front of the campsite and if you have just missed the bus ... the taxi rank is a little further.
Visit center of Kristiansand
The center of Kristiansand - with around 100,000 inhabitants the 5th largest city in Norway - has a large number of shops (around 400!), restaurants, pubs and cozy terraces. Do not forget to enter a cozy side street - such as Skippergata - from the main street (Markens Gate)!
Dyreparken Kristiansand
Dyreparken - also called Kristiansand Zoo & Amusement Park - is not only Norway's largest zoo, it is also an amusement park and theme park. The zoo is characterized by the large open spaces where the animals (Siberian tigers, monkeys, alligators, wolves, giraffes, zebras, you name it ...) are walking around. Tips: Cardamom Town, the Black Lady ship and Badelandet with various (heated) swimming pools and slides.
Location near Kristiansand
Hamre Familiecamping is only on a few km. distance from the E18. Ideal for campers who have just arrived by ferry in the port of Kristiansand. Or going home again. From Kristiansand you can take the E18 towards Grimstad, Arendal, Drammen and Oslo, northwards via the “9” into the Setesdal or towards the west coast (Mandal, Stavanger or Bergen) via the E39.
