What a great place this is. Cozy campsite directly on the beach and sea. Very friendly atmosphere. Ideal for anglers and peace seekers. Boats for hire at the campsite. Open all year.
Roan Sjocamping in Roan in the (Sor) Trondelag region
Roan Sjocamping is located in a wonderful spot right by the sea on the Fosen peninsula north of Trondheim. The camping pitches are situated on grass. Some of them border directly on a small sandy beach (small surcharge). What a view! If you are lucky you can see the Hurtigruten sailing past. The area surrounding Roan Sjocamping is very popular with those seeking peace and quiet and hikers. You will find a local supermarket near the campsite.
At Roan Sjocamping
Because of its location on the beach and sea, your children will not get bored easily. Play in the sand, romp in the water or look for crabs. If you are looking for more activity: Roan Sjocamping is located in a popular hiking area. In addition there are climbing opportunities near the campsite. The area is also popular with kayakers. The campsite has free WIFI and the sanitary facilities are excellent. Unfortunately there is no reception or cooking facilities.
Cabins, rorbuer and motel rooms for rent
Even if you do not have your own camping equipment, Roan Sjocamping is an excellent destination. Because in addition to a small number of cabins, there are also beautiful rorbuers for rent at the campsite. These rorbuer are fairly new and suitable for 4 – 8 people. They are modern and stylishly furnished and have a well-equipped kitchen including a dishwasher. The rorbuer also has a washing machine. The motel rooms are “brand new” (2024) and suitable for 2 people.
Swimming, beach and fishing
Roan Sjocamping is located directly on a small sandy beach. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy the view while your children are playing. With a bit of luck you can spot a whale on the horizon. You can enjoy swimming in the fjord, but also fishing. From the rocks or from a boat (can be rented at the campsite). You can fish for coalfish, halibut and cod, among other things.
