Preikestolen
If you visit Norway, you must of course have seen the Preikestolen. From this spectacular 604 meter high cliff you have an incredibly beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and the Lysefjord. According to Lonely Planet, the Preikestolen offers the most breathtaking view in the world. The walk to the Preikestolen is 8km. long and it takes you (back and forth) about 4 hours. It can be very busy, especially in high season - and certainly when the weather is nice. Therefore, leave early in the morning. Tip: upon arrival at the Preikestolen you can take a beautiful photo of the cliff and the surroundings from a slightly higher part. Via the fairly new 14.3km. long Ryfylketunnel you reach the Preikestolen in just 45 minutes. So easy to do!
Visit Stavanger
Not only the Preikestolen and the beautiful white sandy beach of Solabeach (located southwest of Stavanger) are worth a visit, Stavanger itself is also very popular. The center is just over 2km. from Stavanger Camping Mosvangen and is both easy to do on foot (ask at reception for the route) and by bus (bus stop at the campsite). Stavanger is a student city and that is why the city exudes a special atmosphere. There are many food and beverage outlets and cozy terraces. Tip: Gamle Stavanger - the old town - is very beautiful. Here you will find the largest collection of wooden houses in Europe.
