Langfoss waterfall and Fjord cruise on the Akrafjord
Are you a hiking or nature lover? Then the surroundings of Haraldshaugen Camping have a lot in store for you. Highly recommended: a fjord cruise across the Akrafjord. The surroundings are beautiful, but from the water the imposing mountains seem even more imposing and the Langfoss - 1 of the largest waterfalls in Norway and according to CNN even 1 of the most beautiful in the world - can be seen better from the water than "from land". You need a bigger challenge? Then climb the mountain at the Langfoss waterfall and view the waterfall from above ... indescribably beautiful!
Visit Haugesund, "homeland of the Viking kings"
The center of Haugesund is at only 2km. distance from the campsite. From Haraldshaugen Camping there is a nice walking path (mostly along the sea) towards the city. Haugesund has a nice shopping street. Most restaurants and terraces are located in the harbor, where it is certainly very cozy in the evening. From Haugesund you can also make a small trip to Skudeneshavn, one of the best preserved old towns in Europe. With no fewer than 225 wooden houses, all painted white, a feast for the eyes!
Excellent location on the coast near the E39 between Stavanger and Bergen
If you travel from the south - for example from Kristiansand - via the E39 towards Bergen, you will pass the beautiful cities of Stavanger and Haugesund along the way. Both cities are worth a visit. Haraldshaugen Camping is also easily accessible by plane. Transfer from Haugesund airport to the campsite is possible.
