Are you interested in Viking history, do you enjoy walking… then Camping Landa Park is THE place for you. What a nice place. Close to Preikestolen and Lysefjord, yet wonderfully quiet.
Camping Landa Park Lysefjord is located in a wonderfully quiet spot near the Lysefjord. This special campsite is situated on historic grounds. As many as 250 houses were found in the immediate vicinity, the largest excavation ever in Norway. Camping Landa Park Lysefjord used to be an open air museum, but now a nice campsite with a lot of Viking history. A real Viking festival is held in August and special "Viking menus" are served in the restaurant on the campsite. Camping Landa Park Lysefjord is about a 20-minute drive from the Preikestolen, but the "floating rock" Kjerag and the beautiful city of Stavanger (45 minutes' drive) are also easily accessible from the campsite.
