Sandsletta Camping in Laukvik on the Lofoten Islands

Sandsletta Camping is a well-kept campsite with camping pitches that are scattered throughout the site. The campsite has a great restaurant and in the morning you can - in addition to some basic groceries - also buy fresh rolls and bread. There is a barbecue area and the sanitair is in order. In addition to the camping pitches, there are various cabins and larger bungalows for rent.

Sauna, hot tub, rowing boats, canoes

At Sandsletta camping, rowing boats and pedal boats are free for guests to use. The fjord where the campsite is located is the ideal location for that. A small fee is charged for the use of the sauna (also in Lapland style) and the hot tubs.

At Sandsletta Camping

Sandsletta Camping is a nice campsite with both grass and paved places. Close to the restaurant and reception, but also close to the fjord are nice places to be found. Very loved! There is free WIFI at the campsite, there is a mini zoo with "farm animals" and various activities can be undertaken through the campsite, such as organized kayak tours and walking and cycling trips.

Swimming, beach and walking

You can take a jump in the fjord from your campsite, but there is also a beautiful beach close to the campsite. You can swim well in the fjord, but the water is not really warm. Brrrr. Snorkeling is also possible. If you prefer to go for a walk: there are guided walks, but owner Beate is also happy to tell you more about walks in the area which you can do yourself.

Location between Svolvaer and the Vesteralen islands

Sandsletta Camping is around 10 km away from the E10. Via the E10 you reach Svolvaer within half an hour. If you are en route to Vesteralen, you can - as an alternative to the E10 - also drive from the campsite to Laukvik and at the T-junction in Straumnes drive the coastal route towards Fiskebol. Very nice !! In Fiskebol you can either take the ferry to Melbu (Vesteralen) or return to the E10.
