Many campers return annually to stand on "the plateau" of Mjelva Camping og Hytter. From that plateau you have a truly breathtaking view over the Romsdal Alps with mostly snowy peaks. With a little imagination you can see the Trollstigen at the horizon. When you arrive at Mjelva Camping you are kindly welcomed by the owners Dag Kare and Eva who gladly tell you more about the possibilities in the area.

On the plateau there are some rules how to place your camper, caravan or tent. Just to make sure that every one gets the best possible view. Furthermore, it is "looking for a nice place". And they are enough. Also for renting hytter and bungalows (also with a great view) there is plenty of choice. At Mjelva Camping og Hytter free WIFI is available, there is a recreation room with TV, there is mini golf, you can rent go-karts and for your children there is a nice playground.

Hiking, cycling and mountaineering

Andalsnes is only 3km away distance. So easily accessible by bike, but also on foot. A number of supermarkets are slightly closer to the campsite. With a bit of luck you will see a large cruise ship on the quay when you arrive in Andalsnes. A little bit more adventurous? Directly at the campsite you can take a spectacular walk. Excellent location near Andalsnes

Mjelva Camping og Hytter is on the E136 just before Andalsnes. Many campers choose to leave the E6 at Dombas and drive towards Andalsnes. Not only a great route, but Andalsnes is centrally located between many attractions such as the "rose city" Molde, the cozy fishing village Bud, the spectacular Atlanterhavsvegen, the beautiful city of Alesund, the Trollstigen and of course the Geirangerfjord.
